Snap your fingers twice on “Wandinha”, as Netflix has just confirmed that the record-breaking series will return for a second season. However, details on the new batch of episodes and more information will be shared soon.
In an exclusive interview with Tudum.com, showrunners/executive producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar shared their hopes for the series’ future. “It has been amazing to be able to create a show that connects with people all over the world. We are so thrilled and excited to be able to continue Wandinha’s journey into Season 2. We can’t wait to dive headfirst into a new season and explore even more the universe of Escola Nunca Mais. We just have to make sure that Wandinha hasn’t emptied the pool.”they stated at the time.
About “Wandinha”
Unlike other versions of the story, the plot of the series focuses on the character and accompanies Wandinha as she grapples with her paranormal powers as she tries to solve a mystery that has plagued her family for decades. Furthermore, the production also explores the teenager’s relationship with his family and, above all, with his younger brother.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, executive producer Miles Millar explained that the creators didn’t want the production to be just a reboot. While developing the series, they tried to bring in classic elements, but without feeling like a 1960s series.
