Alexandra Daddario stars in the new series based on the work of Anne Rice after the recent ‘Interview with the Vampire’, and we tell you where you can see them.
Big week for fans of Anne Rice. On Thursday, January 12, the series adaptation of ‘Interview with the Vampire’ will premiere in Spainwhich was already successfully brought to the big screen in 1994 with Neil Jordan, and AMC+ has just announced that we will have to wait very little to enjoy another series inspired by the writer’s work, ‘The Mayfair witches’, which will arrive in our country on Thursday, February 23, 2023.
Based on Anne Rice’s best-selling trilogy, ‘The Mayfair Witches’ is an eight-episode series that focuses on Rowan Mayfair (Alexandra Daddario), a young and intuitive neurosurgeon who discovers that she is the heir to a lineage of witches. As she deals with her newfound powers, she must confront a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.
Daddario has stated, in recent statements to Colliderthat “I had never read Anne Rice“, and recounts the interesting thing about being able to play a witch who has just discovered her power: “When you are little and you are fantasizing about the type of things you will do with your life, you are using the idea of magic or superheroes to understand your relationship with the world and what you are capable of. There’s something really fun about tapping into that and thinking, “Oh, gosh, I have this power with which I can hurt or heal people. I can use this person to help me harness my powers, so how do I use that person? How I do this? As an actress, you get to explore all of these different aspects of human nature through a magical lens. What’s more fun than that?“
Both ‘The Mayfair Witches’ and ‘Interview with the Vampire’ can be seen in our country through AMC+, starting on February 23 and January 12, respectively. AMC+ Spain is available on Orange TV, Vodafone TV, Jazztel TV and as a channel on Prime Video and Apple TV Channels.
