This Saturday, Palmeiras beat Juazeirense-BA, for the third round of the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, by 4-0. With the result, the team continues to search for the second championship of the competition. The estimated audience was six thousand fans.
For the round of 16, Paulo Victor’s men face Mirassol, who defeated Chapecoense 3-1, in the previous phase of Copinha.
The game
Palmeiras dominated the match from the start. Ruan had two chances to score, but failed to convert any. After that, Ednei almost scored a great goal.
At 30 minutes, Palmeiras managed to take the lead on the scoreboard. After a good move from Kevin, Ruan completed the cross to the back of the goal. A short time later, Juazeirense came close to equalizing, with a header from Marcelo, but Aranha put in a good defense.
At the end of the first fraction, Paulo Victor’s men increased their lead. After a corner kick, Henri went to the bottom of the goal.
As in the first phase, Palmeiras were in control of the match. Thus, Ruan received a pass from Pedro and stamped the post. In the sequence, Kevin hit a left cross with no chance for the goalkeeper.
In the 39th minute, Lucas kicked a dangerous free-kick, but Aranha, once again, prevented Juazeirense from reducing the score. At the end of the match, Kauã Santos turned Palmeiras’ victory into a rout.
