Change of title from Beau Is Afraid

Originally, Beau Is Afraid would be called Disappointment Blvd., but the title ended up changing for unknown reasons. Before working with films, Ari Aster directed some short films, such as beau (2011), whose plot has some similarities with the 2023 film. See the synopsis of the short film below:

A neurotic middle-aged man’s trip (to visit his mother) is postponed indefinitely when his keys are mysteriously taken from his door. He is subsequently haunted by an increasingly sinister chain of disturbing events.
