The TNT network (part of the Warner and Discovery conglomerate) will not broadcast the fourth season of ‘Snowpiercer’, which is already looking for a new home.
The nonsense of Warner Bros Discovery cancellations isn’t just limited to HBO Max. TNT, one of the chains of the business conglomerate, has also been affected by the cancellation of the fourth season of ‘Snowpiercer (Rompenieves)’. TNT will not broadcast the series (the last surviving original script on the channel) despite the fact that his last batch of episodes has already been filmedand both the network and the show’s producers are trying to find a new home to cap off the story.
Deadline has reported that this decision is probably due to the tax deduction policy that the company maintains since the merger between Discovery and Warner, which already caused ‘Batgirl’ to be canceled even though filming had finished.
“It was a difficult decision“But our admiration for the talented writers, actors and crew who brought the extraordinary post-apocalyptic world of ‘Snowpiercer’ to life remains strong. We have been working in collaboration with the producers since last year to help the series find a new home. where fans can continue to enjoy the story. We look forward to working with them on future projects.”
The production company Tomorrow Studios has acquired the rights to the series, and what at first seemed bad news (the cancellation of the series), could become a new opportunity. “We love ‘Snowpiercer’ and believe the fourth season rounds out an incredibly talented story that will entertain viewers as they explore the issues of climate change and class warfare. We are so passionate about this series that we have acquired the rights to control the franchise,” Tomorrow Studios said. “We look forward to finding the perfect partner shortly and ending this great journey with the final season.”.
The series adapts the film ‘Snowpiercer’ by Bong Joon-hoone of the best movies on board a train, which in turn was an adaptation of the French graphic novel ‘Le Transperceneige‘. The starting point, in all these cases, is the same: “Seven years after the world has turned into a frozen wasteland, the remains of humanity inhabit a train in perpetual motion that goes around the world, where they develop the class struggle, social injustice and the politics of survival“.
Jennifer Connelly, Daveed DiggsAlison Wright, Mickey Sumner, Susan Park, Iddo Goldberg, Katie McGuinness, Annalize Basso, Sam Otto, Roberto Urbina, Sheila Vand and Jaylin Fletcher star in the series, which has Graeme Manson as showrunner.
