marvel star Dominique Thorne has talked about a different side of Riri Williams in the next series ‘Ironheart’.
The actress made her UCM debut last year in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, a film that, by the way, occupies a particularly prominent place in our ranking of Marvel movies, and is scheduled to return in her own Disney+ series this very same anus.
Speaking to ‘Collider’ about the Riri that fans will see in ‘Ironheart’, Thorne has teased a “deeper look” at the character than what we have seen so far.
“We’ve just seen her in a very intense situation, very heated up. And I think it’s going to be amazing to see people’s reaction to a deeper dive, a deeper look at her,” he explained.
The actress also joked about the diversity of the cast: “I’m looking forward to seeing the impact or the effect that the cast has on the people who watch the show.”
“There are so many disgustingly talented people in the cast. It’s disgusting how amazing some of these actors and comedians are.”
The star continued: “But what these people are as human beings is really, I think, what’s special or different or unique about ‘Ironheart,’ because the people who make up this cast are people who have committed to the authenticity of one way or another in their own personal lives.
“And the characters they play, I think by their very nature, also reflect a deeper layer of authenticity than we may have seen in other shows or movies, something only great creative franchises can offer when they decide to be bold enough to be inclusive”.
Last year, Thorne opened up about advice given to him by actor Robert Downey Jr., especially now that he’s the perfect replacement for Iron Man.
“He had some beautiful words about how much he believes that Riri Williams is and should always be her own person, that this legacy is going in the right direction,” he told ‘ScreenRant’.
“All the beautiful uplifting things you’d expect to hear from Iron Man himself,” added the actress.
