Among messaging apps, WhatsApp was mentioned more often than Telegram
Twitter was the most cited social network in complaints received by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) after the Three Powers invasions on Jan.8, 2023, according to balance of the 102,4 mil
emails received from the folder that was released on Monday (February 6, 2023).
Twitter has been mentioned in 12,5 mil
email, being the social network most cited by the complainants. Then comes TikTok, with 2,7 mil
mentions.
Among messaging apps, WhatsApp appeared more frequently than Telegram. While the Meta app has been mentioned in 4,5 mil
e-mail, in which Telegram appeared 1,7 mil
complaints, complaints.
The Secretariat for Access to Justice took stock of the emails received on the denuncia@mj.gov.br channel. It was created the day after the terrorist acts in Brasilia so that information could be sent to help in the investigation of those responsible.
