tove lo presented his fans last Friday night, the 10th, with the release of an unpublished song. Entitled “Borderline”, the track was co-written by Dua Lipa and had its clip, a continuation of the story told in “No One Dies From Love”, published in the youtube.
First track released by the singer since the album Dirt Femme“Borderline” talks about the limits of love. “[É sobre] the drama you cause within yourself and with another person when you feel insecure. You test those limits,” he explained. tove loin a note sent to the press.
“This song has been around for a long time and I always thought it was incredibly special, so releasing it now is like a full circle feeling. Maybe that’s why it was the perfect song for the revenge video of annie. I hope my fans love the bizarre love story that unfolds in this video, it’s my favorite kind of thing!”
According to NME, tove lo had already released an excerpt from “Borderline” on their social networks earlier in the week. On the occasion, the singer thanked Dua Lipa “for trusting me with this baby”. “This was the first song we wrote together and [marcou] the beginning of our friendship, so it feels really special. Now hold your breath…” she revealed.
It is interesting to point out that the artists have been working together since 2018, and tove lo was co-author of the track “cool”, released by Dua Lipa on disk Future Nostalgia in 2020. Even more, tove lo also opened the show Dua Lipa in Oslo, Norway, in 2022.
