In this 2023, it will be 10 years since Rita Lee left the stage and took refuge in a place in the interior of São Paulo. From there she maintains a light artistic production and is among the animals, she takes care of the garden and lives next to her husband of more than four decades, Roberto de Carvalho.

When she announced her retirement and in what would be her last performance, she clashed with police officers who were guarding a show in Aracaju (Sergipe), on January 28, 2012, and ended the night in a police for “contempt of authority”. . .

In 2015, the label released a 20-CD box set and anthology of his work, and in 2016 he released his award-winning autobiography.
In the midst of the pandemic, the news of lung cancer came, which was successfully treated and culminated in the photo that her husband posted this Tuesday (14) on social networks.
But even rest and retirement were interrupted with the release of the song “Change”, in 2021, in collaboration with her husband and Gui Boratto.
