Besides the show Lollapalooza, the band canceled all further appearances in South America and Mexico. “We are pleased to inform you that the band has confirmed that it will return and perform at the next edition of Lollapalooza Brasil in 2024”, reads a note published by the festival on its social networks, which also reports a video in which the band member, Tom Delonge , explains the cancellation.
“We had one of those crazy accidents that no one expected. Travis will have to have surgery on his finger”, explains the guitarist in the same video in which he confirms that the group must honor their commitments at another time. “I really hope they know we’re devastated,” he continues.
The festival has announced the entry of Twenty one pilots in the program of the day. Ohio-based duo Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun are preparing to reunite with the Lollapalooza Brasil crowd with more intense energy than in 2019, the year they last performed in the country.
The festival note also says that the other presentations on the 25th will take place as normal. “We will have several national and international attractions that are very popular with the public and many experiences for you to enjoy.”
The festival has also announced the possibility of refunding the cost of tickets for those who purchased Lolla Day, Lolla Comfort Day and Lolla Lounge Day on the 25th, to be requested between this Wednesday and next Tuesday 7th. The refund policy will be available for consultation on the official website and only the holder of the ticket purchase can request a refund.
Tickets for 2023 will not be valid for the 2024 edition
