Frank Ocean’s Coachella concert had the official broadcast canceled
Frank Ocean returned to the stage in the early hours of this Monday, the 17th, at coachella. During the show, the musician talked about his next album, successor to the acclaimed blonde (2016) and featured two brand new songs.
Unlike the festival’s other headliners – including Rosalía, blackpink It is Bad Bunny – Frank did not allow his concert to be streamed on YouTube. That didn’t stop fans from going live on social media.
In excerpts shared on the internet, Frank stated (via NME): “It’s been so long, but I’ve missed you guys. I want to talk about why I’m here, because it’s not a new album – not that there isn’t a new album – but there isn’t yet.”
“In the last two years, my life has changed a lot. My brother and I would come to this festival a lot. I feel like I was dragged here half the time. We were just dancing on that stage, I know he would be very excited to be with us. I wanted to. thank you for all the support and love during this time,” he added.
Ryan Breauxbrother of oceandied in a car accident in August 2022. He was 18 years old.
