The Weeknd co-stars with Lily Rose-Depp in the clip of the series “The Idol”

The Weeknd has released the video for “Double Fantasy”, a partnership with rapper Future. The video stars the Canadian singer and Lily Rose-Depp, her co-star in “The Idol”. The song is part of the soundtrack of the series which features other singers in the cast, such as Troye Sivan (“Boy Erased”) and Jennie Kim (member of BLACKPINK).

In the clip, Johnny Depp’s daughter abuses sensual movements and moments of affection with the singer, in scenes that are part of the new HBO series. The song was written and produced by The Weeknd, Mike Dean and Metro Boomin, with collaboration from Future. The title refers to the last album recorded by John Lennon and released in 1980.

The HBO production, which takes place behind the scenes of the music business, was conceived by The Weeknd and developed by Sam Levinson (creator of “Euphoria”). With six episodes, the premiere is scheduled for June 4th.
