In an interview with Rolling Stone, Pitty recalled moments with Peu and gave details of the new album
Pitty announced the release of “Mirrors – Complete Versions of Brave New Video” for June 16th, as part of the celebration of 20 years of the success of “Brave New Chip”. In addition to the anniversary, the artist also marks the year as a decade without her guitarist and friend, Peu Sousa, who died in May 2013 and to whom the record is dedicated. In an interview with Rolling Stonethe singer recalled moments with the musician and delivered details of the new album: “Emocionante”.
“The importance of honoring Peu is very great. Espelhos is dedicated to him. We already wanted to make it available and it happened with the commemorative date”, he shared Pitty about the release of “Mirrors – Complete Versions of Brave New Video” .
The artist also commented on the disc’s novelties: “It’s a band playing live inside a studio. It’s very raw and cool. I think they [os fãs] they will like it”. “There are some dialogues between me and Peu, studio leftovers with conversations. We talked and exchanged a lot. It was very moving to hear that. The name Espelhos itself came from this dialogue, it is a moment of metastasis”, recalled Pitty.

Peu Sousa was found dead in May 2013. The guitarist was one of the original members of the singer’s band and accompanied Pitty during years of concerts and successes,in addition to co-writing “Equalize” with the artist. At the time, Pitty also expressed his sadness at the musician’s death on Twitter: “Very, very saddened by this news. So much shared history since adolescence… The incredible musician he always was remains in my memory. No words to express how sorry I am. I never thought I would have to write this one day… Rest in peace, Peu”.
