Fan recreates Radiohead’s ‘OK Computer’ with sounds from Nintendo 64 games

Released in 1998, Radiohead’s album gained a curious version, even if quite faithful to the original, made only with video game effects

In 1998, the radiohead won one Grammy in the category of Best Alternative Music Album with success OK Computerreleased the previous year.

Now, the album has won an unpublished version, thanks to a fan who reproduced the album in its entirety, but using sounds from video games The Legend Of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, Golden Eye 007′Banjo Kazooie, Yoshi’s Story, Kirby 64 : The Crystal Shards and the classic game Super Mario 64.

Published on YouTube a few days ago, the video drew a lot of attention from other fans, as the person in charge of the channel On4word made sure to recreate all 12 tracks from OK Computeraccording to NME. In total, there are 53 minutes of the disc adapted only with sound effects from the videogame of nintendo.

The soundtrack of Super Mario 64 was used to recreate the tracks “Air bag”, “Subterranean Homesick Alien” It is “Fitter Happier”while the iconic single “Karma Police” was recreated with sounds of star fox 64.

The sounds of the games The Legend Of Zelda Majora’s Mask It is Ocarina Of Time were used to reproduce “Let Down” It is “Electioneering”.

Earlier this year, on4word also recreated the disk in rainbows (2007) do radiohead using sounds of Super Mario 64. Each track was based on the album’s original, with a touch of Super Mario 64 which uses drum beats, bells and snare drum synth sound effects. Listen to the tracks below:
