Taylor Swift reveals she ‘had to be relentless’ with 6 new songs on Speak Now

In the same way as Red (Taylor’s Version) (2021) and Fearless (Taylor’s Version) (2021), Taylor Swift launched the awaited Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) this Friday, the 7th. In addition to new versions of the songs on the original album, the singer added some new tracks – and “had to be relentless.”

In a reflective post on Instagram, Swift revealed some details about the creative process. “It’s here. It’s yours, it’s mine, it’s ours,” he wrote. “It’s an album I wrote on my own about the whims, fantasies, heartaches, dramas and tragedies I experienced as a young 18-20 year old. I remember making tracklist after tracklistobsessed with the right way to tell the story.”

“I had to be ruthless with my choices and left behind some songs that I’m still unfailingly proud of,” continued the artist in the text. “So you have six tracks in the vault! I recorded this album when I was 32 (and still growing, now) and the memories it brought back filled me with nostalgia and appreciation.”

The six new songs present in Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) they are: “ElectricTouch,” “When Emma Falls in Love,” “I Can See You,” “castles crumbling,” “Foolish One” It is “timeless.” Altogether, there are 22 tracks on the album.
