Bad Bunny beats Ed Sheeran and has the most streamed album in Spotify history

“Un Verano Sin Ti”, Bad Bunny’s fourth studio album, has received over 13.4 billion streams on the platform

Consecrated as the most listened global artist of the year in 2022 by Spotify, Bad Bunny (stage name of Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio) broke another record on the platform by having the most played album in the entire history of the platform – the biggest audio streaming, surpassing the album Divide (÷) of Ed Sheeran. The milestone was highlighted by Spotify this Friday, July 7th.

With A Summer Without You (2022), the rapper was the first Latin singer to conquer Best Artist of the Year at the Video Music Awards(VMA’s) this year, in addition to standing out in awards and lists of the genre around the world, starting to dominate the reggaeton and trap scene, being the most influential of his generation.

The Puerto Rican artist’s project topped the main US album chart, the Billboard 200, for 13 non-consecutive weeks. so much to billboard as for the magazine Team elected A Summer Without You as the best album of 2022.
