Eminem teams up with Ed Sheeran to perform ‘Lose Yourself’ at a concert in Detroit

The rapper also introduced ‘Stan’ as a surprise guest at the British singer’s hometown concert, nearly a year after the pair performed at the Rock Hall induction ceremony.

Ed Sheeran received an unexpected surprise guest during his concert in Detroit on Saturday, when Eminem appeared on stage to perform two of his biggest hits alongside the British singer.

In his performance at Ford Field at the Motor City, Sheeran greeted the hometown of Eminemfirst presenting alone the hit ‘Lose Yourself’of the movie 8 Mile – Rua das Ilusões. To the crowd, he said that he had rehearsed earlier that day: “Let’s see how it goes”.

Then, without warning and in the middle of the song, the slim Shady took the stage to accompany him:

“He was only going to perform one song, but I told him he couldn’t go out in Detroit and play just one song. Want another song? ” Sheeran he asked the audience.

Eminem stayed to sing’stan‘, feat with singer Dido about a fan obsessed with him. Sheeran interpreted the excerpts from Dido. “Detroit, I missed you!” Eminem told the audience after the performance.

The duet was a meeting between Sheeran and Eminem, who had previously performed together during the rapper’s induction ceremony at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022, when the two performed “Stan” together as part of a stint through the repertoire of Slim Shady.

The two artists collaborated for the first time in 2017, when Sheeran participated in the comeback track of Eminem,river‘. The rapper returned the favor a year later with his appearance on “Remember the Name”part of the Nº 6 Collaborations project, by Sheeran.
