Pedro Sampaio Appears Bald in Unprecedented ‘Joia Rara’ Clip

After five months without audiovisual releases, producer Pedro Sampaio publishes his new work in collaboration with MC Tato. This is the unedited clip of Rare jewelnow available on Youtube. Always creative in the production of his clips, sampaio establishes a fundamental identity for the work: the film takes place in a laboratory of diamond products from hair, where he and touch they appear performing the song alongside a team of dancers.

On hiatus since February when it came out Sage of wonders during Carnival, the cariocas are proud of their new project: “I took great care of this song so that it came out the way I wanted. I have been without releases for a while, I modified the Carnival marathon with my debut at Lollapalooza Brazil with a tour of Europe, and I missed releasing music for my fans I hope people like the “Joia Rara” video too much.

An idea “Strange” at the beginning, but based on reality. Directed by Vinicius of Andradewho has already signed works by Anitta, Paolo Vittar, Marina Sena and LuĂsa Sonza, the clip simulates the production of diamonds from the high concentration of carbon in human hair, which is heated until it reaches a solid form. Here hair becomes a symbol of each individual’s individuality, as a sign of expression that has great value.

“I brought some ideas to Pedro and the team, and they liked the most unusual one: make everyone bald!”said the director of the clip, Mlk Brutal. “The idea was born in a conversation with my friends and partners in crime at audiovisual Amorinpublic and Jader Chahine, who have helped me a lot in this creative process. We really wanted to tell a story that escapes the obvious and that this jewel does not was literally a person! Pedro added a lot to the idea, bringing other elements and together we arrived at the final result”, complete.

The entire aesthetic of the clip is aimed at highlighting identities, both with the artists and with the other participants. In this respect, the costume is a highlight: “We thought about a type of clothing that not only looks good, but adds to the launch. It’s this very young thing, drinking from the wellspring of streetwear that has [Pedro] like it, at the same time combining the Brazilian style of funk with international references. The idea was to be something very unpretentious”, he said Victor Miranda, stylist From Pedro.
