Ex-Coldplay manager sues nearly R$60 million over unpaid fees


Dave Holmes, who managed the band for 22 years, is suing after quietly ending the partnership a year ago

Dave Holmesformer manager of Coldplay, filed a lawsuit against the group, claiming unpaid fees worth more than $12 million.

Magazine Variety revealed that the dispute, anchored in contractual disagreements, has emerged from recently released court documents in the UK.

Holmes concluded its collaboration with the Coldplay about a year ago, having played a key role in the band’s upward trajectory.

During his tenure, the group achieved impressive milestones such as winning 7 awards Grandmother and selling over 100 million albums worldwide. Currently, the Coldplay is under the direction of Phil Harvey, send frost AND Arlene Luna.

The band, comprising Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion, began their journey in 1997 after reuniting at University College London. This litigation comes at a crucial time, as the band recently renewed their contracts with Parlophone and Atlantic, anticipating the exit of Music of the spheres.
