The singer Chico Buarque should receive R$4 million in compensation for copyright from the publishers Três Marias Editora Musical, Editora Musical Arlequim and Trevo Editora Musical, according to information fromEstadão. The court order issued on September 18 gave a period of 15 days for the companies to pay compensation to the artist and the company Marola Edições Musicais, which belongs to Chico.
The case took place in the 21st Civil Court of São Paulo and the sentence was signed by judge Lívia Martins Trindade Prado.
