Madonna celebrates 40 years of career with ‘Celebration Tour’
The musical director of Madonna, Stuart Priceensured that all the songs presented in the Celebration Tour have “live vocals”. The singer started the tour that celebrates 40 years of her career last Saturday, the 14th, in Europe. There is no information about a possible show in Brazil at the moment.
“In terms of building a show, the biggest priority has to be, ‘Can we do something that’s cool to perform? Can we do something that makes you feel good about performing?’ The main reason to do this is that it’s all about the vocals,” he said. Price in a recent interview (via NME).

Giving a singer the platform to sing and be themselves is priority number one. In the end, the point of all of this is, ‘Does Madonna feel like she can hold the mic, really go ahead and deliver it?’ I love a comment I got from fans after the show. One couple said, ‘Is this a recording?’ For me, that’s a huge compliment because it’s all live.
In addition to the voice of Madonna, the audience also has backing vocals. Only a few words spoken throughout the show are recorded. Price had already confirmed to BBC News (via NME), however, that the performances would not be accompanied by a live band: “We realized that the original recordings are our stars. These things cannot be replicated or recreated, so we decided to embrace the idea.”
