How the show managed to use ‘Running Up That Hill’ in the fourth season of Stranger Things?

As NME reported, Kate Bush gave permission to Stranger Things to use the track because the artist is a fan of the series. Nora Felderthe show’s music supervisor, explained in a recent interview how she chose “Running Up That Hill” for the soundtrack because “it immediately struck me with its deep chords of possible connection to the emotional struggles of Max.”

Wendy Crowleythe singer’s editor, added: “Kate Bush is selective when it comes to licensing her music, and because of that, we made sure to get pages of script and footage for her to review, so she could see exactly how the music would be used.”
