Gossip return to music with “Crazy Again”, their first song in 11 years

The indie rock trio Gossipmusic returns with the release of the new song Crazy againhis first song in 11 years. The single, available on digital platforms via Sony Music, is on Columbia Recordsis an integral part of the band’s next studio album, entitled Real powerwhich will arrive on the market in March 22, configuring the first disk of the group in 14 years.

Real poweralso marks the reunion with the acclaimed producer Rick Rubinwho helmed the band’s seminal album, Music for men2009.

Under the encouragement of Rubythe band began recording in 2019 after completing a 10th anniversary tour of Music for men. Recorded in the producer’s home studio, in Kauaithe process was temporarily interrupted by the pandemic and resumed when restrictions were lifted.

The result is a celebration of 11 tracks about the galvanizing power of music, the joy of creative expression and the power of family, after collective and personal trauma. The time is ripe for a reunion of Gossip AND Real power heralds a new maturity and renewed sense of purpose for the trio.

“When we started, a lot of gossip was about escape – that was always present in the music,” He says Idem. “We survived. We came from nothing and got out of there. And to be here 20 years later and still making music together is just amazing.”
