Iconic electronic music duo Daft Punk released the full version last Friday (17th). Without drum from the popular album Random access memorynow available on digital platforms via Sony Music, go Columbia Records.
The work comes as yet another celebration of the tenth anniversary of the album that has already won the award Grandmother AS Album of the Year, this time eliminating all drum and percussion elements from their tracks. This gives a timeless quality to the record, giving listeners the chance to delve deeper into the layers of each song.
The content series Memory tapesmade available by Daft Punkcontinues more recently with episodes with Pharrell Williams AND Neil Rodgers. Directed by Warren Fulongtime collaborator of the duo, interviews for the documentary were conducted at Henson StudiosIn Los Angeles (United States) and in Band studiesIn Pariswhere much of Random access memory it has been registered.
Each episode includes a new interview, as well as archival footage and never-before-seen studio footage Daft Punk as they created what became their final album.
