Urias proves herself to be one of Brazil’s main pop divas in the deluxe album Her Mind

With three new songs and a remix, Urias launches this Tuesday, 21st, the album Her Mind – Blossom Edition; see the track by track

Whether on stage or in the studio, Uriah really becomes one of the main representatives of Brazilian pop today. With a sound that ranges from calmer beats to techno and dance music, in addition to the lyrics addressing themes such as love, anger, transgenderism, among others.

In a new stage of her short and successful career, the singer from Minas Gerais is preparing to launch Her Mind – Blossom Editiondeluxe version of the great Her Mind (2023), with three new tracks (“Rolling,” “trip” It is “Soft“) and a remix of “Ultimate One,” with the participation of the American rapper Killa’s Cakes.

Like all additional versions of a studio album, this deluxe Uriah (the first in her career) features original tracks, too. Something cool Blossom Edition it’s the difference between new songs and pre-existing ones – this further shows her ease in expanding her own repertoire.

The three new tracks on the “extended” version of Her Mind offer a new perspective on this more colorful universe of Uriah. The new album opens with “Rolling,” which has a softer beat, and her voice follows this rhythm, while the lyrics in English address more the power of the artist’s career.

Next we have the most agitated and even playful “trip,” which makes puns about the creation of the divine and the singer’s place in it all. Finally, “Soft” has lyrics in Spanish and arrives with a reggaeton with a lot of electronic music.

In fact, this thing about leaving your own comfort zone is nothing new for Uriah. Her first studio album, Fury (2022) is quite different from its successor, whether in lyrics or musical style. The first has a more urban theme with heavy beats, while the second is very fast-paced, with lyrics in different languages, worthy of the dance floor.

With Her Mind – Blossom Editionthe singer came to show how she has great ability to adapt to any type of sound within pop, and really shows the quality that the genre can reach in Brazil, a country with a style very different from that of the foreigners and world icons, such as Dua Lipa, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Ariana Grande, among others.

To Rolling Stone Brasil, Urias spoke a little about the new tracks on the deluxe. Read descriptions of each song below:

1 – ‘Rolling’

“‘Rolling‘ is a song about continuing to do things the way I do, knowledge of how I changed the game a few times, taking this narrative of being recognized for myself, without waiting for anyone else’s knowledge. I recognize that my work is good, that it has a basis and that people are watching it, that’s obvious and clear.”

2 – ‘Trip’

“It’s more about puns with the lyrics, including myself in the creation of the divine. The lyrics talk about that, having this play on elements considered things that happened in this story of how the divine created these things. Also about how I’m not part of this creation, my existence is not part of this. It is a way of including myself in this creation, from my perspective, with a certain type of irony, even a laugh about it all.”

3 – ‘Soft’

“In ‘Suave,’ we wanted to make a Latin hit with drum & bass, that was the idea of [produtor] Maffalda. I wanted a song in Spanish to dance and have fun, to feel warm and light. It says a lot about this deluxe, that the sound is a little softer than the rest of the album, but this deluxe is kind of a way to conclude all of this, the entire subject of the album.”
