As soon as registration is complete, The future belongs to… Jovem Guarda, his last studio album, the late Erasmo Carlos had begun to outline what he would do next. If the work of that year had been dedicated to the repertoire of the primordial movement of his career, the following year would have had to reach precisely the “young guard”: the new generation of artists who had in him not only an idol and an inspiration, but also a companion present and an interested ear.
With his son Leo Esteves and the manufacturer Marco Nero, Erasmo began to conceive, in the following months, the concept of the album. He wanted to have the voices, pens and antennas of the new generation composers alongside him in a work of completely new songs. Everything new, regarding and for the future.
Erasmus He left in November of that year, but his ideas remained, germinated, blossomed. And the album of new songs he has planned will reach the public in the first half of next year.
First example of this new work, The girl of happiness lands is now available on all digital platforms via Free soundtogether with a lyrical video available on the artist’s official YouTube channel.
The song is a duet between Erasmo and Gaby Amarantos, the ideal voice to bring to light the hope that the author describes so well in the text: “When the band plays/ I dress in nature/ And I sing my beauty/ For the world to meet// And if people sing/ I raise my smile/ And I do everything necessary/ So that love doesn’t end.”
