Lanny Gordin, Brazilian guitarist, dies aged 72

Lanny Gordin was the stage name of Alexander GordinChinese born in Shanghai, son of a Russian and a Polish woman, as recalled by Folha de S. Paulo. In Brazil since he was six years old, he was deeply influenced by Jimi Hendrixfrom which he was inspired at the beginning of his career.

In 2016, the musician was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, an autoimmune disease that he fought for two years – and which ended up having permanent effects.
