Lucas Lucco announces a career break to focus on mental health

Lucas Lucco has announced that he will be taking a career break to look after his mental health after experiencing “numerous crises throughout the year.” The statement was released on Thursday (12/7) on the country singer’s social networks.

“In the year 2023, I had to issue a note twice to justify the postponement/cancellation of some shows. Reorganization and struggle with the schedule due to the various and varied commitments that the companies I have today require of me. I have had numerous crises during year, but on November 7 it became very intense and, since then, I have only been symptom-free for three days out of those 30,” Lucco said.

The artist explained that he was already undergoing treatment, but decided to seek help from a specialist to stabilize his BAD (Bipolar Affective Disorder), a disorder that causes mood swings and ranges from depression to episodes of obsession. “I’m sure I’ll get through this again, but I need a few days at home until I can recover and feel good about this change,” she said.

“I love everything I do, I love my work on and off stage, but sometimes TAB can limit me a lot and, therefore, I need this little break. I apologize to the people who went to the shows this weekend. I I’m so sorry, but I need to be 100% for my son, for the stage, for the companies and to realize the dreams and goals I still have to achieve.”

Finally, Lucas Lucco gave some friendly advice to his followers: “There are open wounds that are invisible to our eyes, but that doesn’t mean they are still very… Very painful. Be kind to everyone so you never know what “that person lives behind the scenes and that many, leaving home, choose a mask to carry around.”

Get better, boy!

Last month, Lucas Lucco said he was going through a “complicated period” and decided to step away from social media to recover emotionally. The singer avoided going into details of the situation. The information left his fans worried.

“Hi everyone. I decided to take some time for myself, as I’ve been going through a difficult time since last Thursday (11/2). I’m posting this to let people know who are trying to contact me with no response. Thank you. I’ll be back when I’ve recovered,” the singer wrote on Instagram Stories.
