The exclusive sale of the Rock in Rio Card sold out all tickets, valid for one day of the event, in just 2h04 on Thursday (7/12). Festival organizers reported that people from all states of Brazil purchased tickets and that 28 countries also guaranteed their presence at Cidade do Rock.
In total, the event sold 180 thousand tickets and when sales ended there were still another 460 thousand people on the waiting list. It is worth mentioning that the official ticket sale is scheduled for April 11, 2024.

Rock in Rio will take place over two weekends, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21 and 22 September 2024, in Cidade do Rock, Rio de Janeiro. The edition will mark the 40th anniversary of the festival and will have a new Mundo stage, a larger Sunset stage, a new area called Global Village and other new features.
So far, the organization has already announced some big names, such as Ivete Sangalo, Os Paralamas do Sucesso, Jao, Gloria Groove, Angelique Kidjo, Lulu Santos, Ne-Yo, Ludmilla, Joss Stone, Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons and Luísa Sonza.
