Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones turns 80

Keith Richardsone of the members of the British rock band The Rolling Stonesguitarist and composer, turns 80 this Monday 18th and receives a tribute from Ecad (Central Collection and Distribution Office). A musical survey of her songs has identified the ones Brazilians have listened to most in the country over the past 10 years.

The highlight of the study was (I can’t get a no) Satisfactiona partnership of Keith Richards with his bandmate Mick Jagger. The song topped the chart listing the most re-recorded songs written by the artist and also topped the chart of his most played songs in the last decade in the country.

Keith Richards currently has 458 compositions and 3,404 recordings registered in the collective management of the music database in Brazil. In the country, the artist has public performance rights guaranteed by Ecad, as is the case for other foreigners. The Brazilian music associations that manage the Ecad have representation contracts with companies of the same nature in several countries, which allows international artists to receive their respective royalties when their music is played in the country. In these cases, Ecad collects the sums and distributes them to Brazilian associations, which pass them on to foreign associations and then to the artists.
