The city will have a war operation for the Alok show in the interior of Sao Paulo


The city of Gavião Peixoto has 5 thousand inhabitants and distributed 20 thousand tickets for the show

The city of Gavião Peixoto, in the hinterland of São Paulo, 306 km from the capital, will celebrate its 28th anniversary with a series of events. This Wednesday, the 27th, there will be a free show by DJ Alok, voted the fourth best in the world in 2021. To welcome the artist, the municipality had to create a “war operation” to strengthen security.

According to the newspaper Folha de S. Paulothe municipality has set up notices on social media to avoid possible confusion around the Industrial Park Events Center, where the show will take place.

In total, 20 thousand tickets were distributed, given that Gavião Peixoto has 4,700 inhabitants. The increase in the number of people in the city and the strong demand for the show are worrying the authorities.

Without a ticket and photo ID it will not be possible to access the vicinity of the Events Center, the Municipality informs on social media. The entire area will be cordoned off for those holding the voucher and the Military Police will inspect and control entry into the city and the surrounding areas of the event.

Additionally, the Traffic Police will monitor the Washington Luiz (SP-310) and Deputado Victor Maida (SP-331) highways and local roads that provide access to the municipality. According to the report there will be breathalyzer tests on all roads. Sheet.

In the streets of the city, starting from Tuesday 26th, it was necessary to change traffic according to a recommendation from the Military Police. In some places the directions have been changed and in other places parking or stopping vehicles will be prohibited until the end of the show.

Alok fans were also warned by city hall about scams and not to buy tickets online, or from touts, reminding them that tickets are distributed free of charge and are not for sale. The vouchers were issued via registration on the official website, in batches that sold out quickly.

The city’s anniversary attraction cost R$450,000, according to the municipality’s official gazette. The budget for 2023 is R$65 million.

Gavião Peixoto is the headquarters of an Embraer unit, which has changed the local economy, previously based on the agricultural production of sugar cane and oranges. In May this year, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) inaugurated the production line of the Saab F-39 Gripen, a new FAB (Brazilian Air Force) fighter, in the city.
