Alexandre Pires cancels cruise show after passenger falls overboard

Alexandre Pires canceled a show that was supposed to take place in the early hours of this Saturday (30/12) during a sea cruise, after a passenger fell overboard. “My condolences to the family and friends of the person who fell into the sea, from the balcony of his cabin, during the MSC Preziosa cruise, around 0.30 am today (30/12). I ask God to comfort everyone’s hearts this time,” the artist wrote in a statement on Instagram.

The singer further explained: “Out of respect for the victim and the rescue work, we spoke with the organization and reached an agreement not to hold the show, which was supposed to start at 1 am. We were not even got on stage when it happened.” . something tragic happened.” He concludes by apologizing to the fans present at the event. “Our mission is to bring joy and promote culture through music, which would not have been possible due to what happened. I apologize to the fans for the cancellation and for everyone’s understanding of the decision we made,” he concluded.

According to journalist Luiz Bacci, witnesses had seen a couple arguing violently on the balcony of one of the cabins before the fall. The ship had already been at sea for about 6 hours, sailing in the waters of São Sebastião, north coast of São Paulo, when the accident occurred. The information was confirmed by cruise passengers, including Claudia Baronesa, MC Gui’s mother and former “Power Couple” participant. “There was no sight. They are looking for the boy’s body,” she described on social media.

Since the man was not found on board the vessel, searches were carried out by the Coast Guard and the alleged brawl needs to be investigated.

The ship is the same one that hosted the Ney em Alto Mar event, of the player Neymar, between 26 and 29 December, with the presence of several famous people. It left the coast of Santos (SP) and has Angra dos Reis (RJ) as its destination.

The program also includes other performances, including those of Ana Castela, Leo Santana, Wesley Safadão and Gustavo Mioto.
