The voices indicated so Shakira would perform at the Coachella this year, however, the production decided not to have the Colombian as the protagonist of the Festival. The singer’s team did not agree with the event producers’ decision to place her on a secondary stage.
According to the site Hits Daily Double, Shakira’s team tried to get a place at the Festival due to the singer’s great success in 2023, but was rejected by the production team.
The sources claim that the Colombian would have demanded a compensation higher than what the production could pay.
It is worth mentioning that the Coachella will take place on April 12, 13, 14, 19, 20 and 21 this year, in Indio, California, United States. The full lineup is expected to be announced later this month.
