Names such as Caetano Veloso, Ivete Sangalo, Ceelo Green, Leo Santana, Seu Jorge and Daniela Mercury will perform in the capital of Bahia

The Salvador Summer Festival begins this Saturday, the 27th, at the Salvador Exhibition Park. For two days, Saturday and Sunday, around 40 attractions will perform on the two stages, Cais and Ponte, the main stages of the attraction. This will be the 25th edition of the event, one of the most important in Bahia.

On the first day the program presents the American rapper Ceelo Green and the singer Bahian Ivete Sangalo – the two perform alone, with Ivete promising an exclusive show for the festival.

Also on Saturday, in the ‘invite’ format, created by the artistic director of the festival, Zé Ricardo, Iza invites Liniker, Baco Exu from Blues invites Psirico, Bell Marques invites Claudia Leitte, Carlinhos Brown & Baiana System and MC Cabelinho invites TZ of Coronel.

On Sunday, Leo Santana invites Luísa Sonza, Lulu Santos invites Gabriel o Pensador, Seu Jorge invites Mano Brown, Thiaguinho invites Maria Rita, Daniela Mercury invites Ilê Aiyê and Margareth Menezes, Gloria Groove invites Péricles and Teto invites Matuê. The Bahian band Àttoxxa presents a show without guests.

Also on Sunday the most awaited moment: the singer and composer Caetano Veloso will present for the first time in Bahia the commemorative show of the fiftieth anniversary of the album Fuck you. Until now Caetano had only presented this show in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. The Bahian had even announced a radical holiday until March, but he said he couldn’t resist the festival’s invitation.

In addition to the presentations, the music of the 2024 carnival is expected to be presented at the Summer Festival. There will be two strong competitors: Macedingwith Ivete Sangalo, e Read repeatedlywith Leo Santana.

It is also expected that the most played songs of the moment will appear in artist presentations, such as Pocpoc, by Pedro Sampaio, ed Written in the starsa hit by Tetê Espíndola that became a hit again after more than 30 years.

The shows of the Salvador Summer Festival will be broadcast live and simultaneously on Multishow and Globoplay, with an open signal for non-subscribers (Saturday from 5.15pm and Sunday from 3.15pm). TV Globo shows the best moments of every day. On Saturday, the recap will air after the High hours and, on Sunday, after Big Brother Brazil.
