Musician Darius Rucker, lead singer of the band Hootie & The Blowfish, was arrested and charged with drug possession in Williamson, Tennessee (USA). According to the website of the American magazine Rolling Stone, he was released from prison after paying a bail of 10,500 dollars.
“Darius Rucker is fully cooperating with the authorities,” the artist’s lawyer said in a statement.
Rock band Hootie & The Blowfish had a lot of success in the ’90s with “Only Wanna Be With You” and “Let Her Cry.”
After leaving the band, the singer pursued a career in country music.
The band plans to return with a tour starting in May.
