Grammy 2024: check out the winners of the main categories [ao vivo]

SZA leads the nominations; The awards ceremony takes place this Sunday, 4th, starting at 9:30 pm

O Grammys 2024 takes place this Sunday, 4th, in Los Angeles. The ceremony — which will be broadcast from 9:30 pm on HBO Max — represents the opportunity for some artists to win their first Grammyas Lana Del Rey It is Miley Cyrus.

In one of the main categories — Album of the Year —, only Jon Batista prevents a woman’s 100% chance of winning the award (seven of the eight nominees are female artists).

In the 2022 edition, competition was practically balanced, with four male and five female artists nominated, in addition to the partnership between Tony Bennett It is Lady Gaga. The picture was not much different in 2023: three men nominated, five women and two groups — ABBA It is Coldplay.

SZA leads the awards, with a total of nine nominations. In 2018, she was nominated for five categories, with her debut album Ctrl (2017), but did not take any Grammy home. The singer’s most recent album, SOSreleased in December 2022, is up for Album of the Year, while the single “Kill Bill” could take the Grammy for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Other songs from the album were nominated in pop and R&B categories.

Brazilians were not left out of the competition, but were concentrated in the Best Latin Jazz Album category. Ivan Lins competes with My Heart Speaks (2023), Eliane Elias with Quietude (2022), and Luciana Souza & Trio Corrente with Comet (2023).
