Travis Kelce couldn’t accompany his girlfriend Taylor Swift at the ceremony of Grammywhich took place last Sunday, the 4th. Still, he stated that he managed to watch the event on his cell phone as soon as he arrived in Las Vegas, where his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, will face the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl (via Variety).
Swift received the Album of the Year award for Midnights (2022), and became the artist with the most wins in the category. She also won the award for Best Pop Vocal Album and took the opportunity to announce the release of a new album, The Tortured Poets Department.
“I heard part of the album. It’s incredible,” he said Kelce during a press conference at the Super Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. “I can’t wait for it to rock the world when it finally comes out.”
“I was lucky that we landed in Las Vegas just in time for me to call [o Grammy] on my phone and see her winning her 13th award and announcing the new album,” he added. “And obviously the big prize at the end, winning Album of the Year for the fourth time. It’s incredible.”
She is amazing. You are rewriting the history books. I told her I need to fulfill my end of the bargain and take home some prizes too. Taylor has an incredible fan base that has followed and supported her throughout her life, and it’s been fun to bring Swifties and Chiefs Kingdom together and open them up to the world of football and sports.
