The singer and composer Roberto Pianta he said he has difficulty composing new songs. She recounted the struggle to find the words that correspond to what she wants to say about today’s world.
“I can’t find the words. This is a very difficult time to try to compose.” he said in an interview with Rolling Stone.
“Today I was pulling out all my lyric books and saying, ‘I need to get my groove back. I have something to say.’ [tentando criar novas músicas] – as long as they have effects machines that make me sound good”, he has declared.
Robert revealed something about his creative songwriting and recording process: “I have a Tascam digital recorder: I sing, I put my voice on a guitar pedal and record there… and it sounds great. Why bother going to a studio?“
The 75-year-old singer has ruled out retirement plans.
“The camaraderie, the things you share up there [do palco] and the weaknesses you carry with you in silence, the exposure of yourself to yourself… these are things I would hate to say goodbye to. I can’t stand still”he concluded.
