Amado Batista has closed the legal dispute after compensating moral damages to a couple of Ceará fans. The singer was convicted last year for unexpectedly canceling a show that was due to take place in August 2022, in Sao Paulo.
On that occasion, fans purchased plane tickets from Juazeiro do Norte to the capital Sao Paulo, where the event would take place at Clube Nacional Vila Vivalde. Tickets cost around R$100 each, but in addition to these expenses, the couple also made a banner to display at the show.
The singer, who had been sentenced to pay R$10,000 to the duo, had to pay the necessary pecuniary adjustment and pay the fine for moral damages in the amount of almost R$19,000 to put an end to the trial. The amount also refers to material damage and legal costs.
“The defendant was sued for the voluntary payment of the sentence, for this reason he carried out the calculations according to the strict requirements of the judicial act and considered that he was owed the amount of R$ 18,266.86”, they informed his lawyers.
