Last Friday (23), Rod Stewart and Jools Holland launch, with their Rhythm and blues orchestrathe long awaited album Swing fevera brilliant greeting from 13 tracks to the songs of great bands, revived by two true giants of the music scene. The project is now available on all digital platforms via Warner Music.
For the first time, the new partners of Great Britain have officially reunited to share their unrivaled skill in a tribute to truly amazing songs like It’s not bad behavior, almost like being in love, Penny From Heaven AND Lullaby of Broadway.
Swing fever it is the creation of conversations between Auction AND Jools, which began during the pandemic, and Rod’s dream of making an album with songs that were, in many ways, the rock ‘n’ roll of their time. Sitting together, Jools says: “I was packing to go Christmas and you called me. We hadn’t talked much before. I thought ‘I love Rod, how exciting’, and you said ‘I want to make a record’. I was always a fan of Rod and saw that we liked the same things.”
Also on the new project, over the course of approximately twelve collective sessions, the intimacy of the recording space combined with the enduring brilliance of the songbook to create an infectious sound. Rod Stewart is one of the most successful artists, with more than 250 million albums sold worldwide.
