In this edition the festival is strengthened with the arrival of two important names in leadership positions: MV Bill, national rap icon, takes on the role of cultural director, bringing his unique knowledge and experience in the movement, as well as a keen eye for the reality of artists and the public, who form the foundation of the scene. At the same time, William Reiswho served as executive coordinator of Afroreggae, internationally recognized for his work as an activist and social entrepreneur, assumes the ESG direction of the event, promising management with social and environmental responsibility.

Among the festival’s ESG actions, for each ticket sold, the REP Festival will allocate R$5.00 to the institutions Afroreggae (Vigário Geral), Instituto Arteiros (Cidade de Deus) and Projeto Nóiz (Cidade de Deus). The amount raised will be divided equally between the 3 institutions.

In 2024, the festival returns after a last edition impacted by heavy rain – a reflection of the climate emergency that has affected several outdoor events and festivals around the world.

Since its debut in 2019, the REP Festival has solidified itself as a crucial event to strengthen the rap movement in Brazil. In 2022, it held a historic edition, with more than 70 thousand people at Parque dos Atletas. Now, being held at the Olympic Park reinforces the greatness of the festival, a pioneer in raising the flag for national rap and boosting an industry that, in addition to the artists on stage, employs thousands of people in the country.
