The singer and songwriter Toni and me the new single was released last Tuesday (12th). I get high, and she also celebrated a historic milestone: with the hit she became the first female artist to exceed 3 billion streams on Spotify Dancing monkeyand joined the select group of eight singers who have managed to achieve this feat to date.
Composed by Tones and co-produced by Randy Belculfine, I get high is the second track from the artist’s upcoming album, which is expected to be released later this year. As for the new song’s lyrics, Tones shares that “‘I Get High is about the nostalgia of growing up with your friends. Walk and enjoy your youth, look back and recognize the people who were and still are in your life and who make you feel alive. This song is pure magic.”
The single follows Dreamingalso written in collaboration with Sam Nelson, of X Ambassadors, and co-produced by Nelson and Randy Belculfine, with an official music video, directed by Tones And I herself, starring Nick Kozakis and Liam Kelly.
