American singer Sheryl Crow, nine-time winner of the Grandmother and immortalized in Rock Hall of Fame in 2023, releases the album this Friday (29th). Evolution, the eleventh studio album in his discography. The album is now available on digital platforms via Universal music.
Evolutionwhich was produced by Mike Elizondo – working with Dr. Dre, Maroon 5, Keith Urban AND Gary Clark Jr. – count with nine new trackswhich highlights those already started Wake up, Evolution, Do it again AND Digging in the earth.
The songs of Evolution were produced with a focus on country rock AND Americanclassic styles from the US songbook.
Sheryl Crow, who publicly stated that he would not release another full-length album after that Discussions 2018, now presents Evolution as a welcome surprise for fans.
“With streaming everything has become more song-oriented, and making an album is a huge undertaking,” he says Crow. “I started by sending one song to Mike, which turned into four and would become an EP. But the songs kept pouring out of me; four songs
it became nine and it was pretty obvious that it was one album.”
