British band The 1975 prepare for fifth album release
The 1975 revealed the title of the fifth studio album, which will be called Being Funny In A Foreign Languagethis Wednesday, 29. In addition, the English group also released the tracklist, which has 11 tracks.
According to NMEthe band’s new era is set to begin on July 7, with the release of the single “Part Of The Band,” fourth song from the album Notes On A Conditional Formfrom 2020. In fact, a snippet of the song was released by Matty Healy on Instagram also this Wednesday, 29. In addition, the lyrics appeared on billboards.
“She was in the air force / I was in the band,” begins the lyrics, which also read: “Am I ironically awake? The butt of my joke? Or am I just a post-coke, average, skinny guy calling your ego imagination?”

Now, fans are sharing a photo of a poster that contains the name of the album and the list of tracks that will be on it over the internet. As usual with the band, the album begins with a self-titled song that opened each of the previous four albums, featuring the same lyrics around different songs.

The group’s return to the stage will take place in August, when they present two shows at the Japan’s Summer Sonic Festival. These will be their first live performances since they performed in Dublin in March 2020. For now, there is no release date for Being Funny In A Foreign Language.
