This Friday the fans of one of the biggest names in international music of the 80s and 90s were sad (26). The band Oingo Boingo has canceled its show in Curitiba “due to circumstances beyond the reach” of the local producer. The Californian band, owner of hits such as “Stay”, “Just Another Day”, “Dead Man’s Party”, would perform at the Teatro Positivo on June 1st.
In addition to Curitiba, other shows in Brazil were also cancelled. The press release from the production company Music On Events, responsible for the national tour, states that only the performances in Porto Alegre (6/6) and Florianópolis (6/7) will be maintained.
Shows in Sao Paulo (29/5), Rio de Janeiro (30/5), Balneário Camboriú (31/5), Curitiba (1/6) and Ribeirão Preto (2/6) are cancelled.
“We are sorry for what happened and, out of respect for the fans, we reiterate that the band intends to reschedule the canceled shows as soon as possible”

Tickets purchased for the canceled dates will be refunded. According to RW7, the producer responsible for the Curitiba show, the refund of purchases made through the Disk-Ingressos site, with payment by credit and pix, will be made automatically within 59 working days.
