The Marvel Cinematic Universe has amassed an incredible roster of stars in front of the camera, but it has also attracted its share of high-profile talent behind the camera. Nia DaCosta is the latest director to turn heads at the helm of a Marvel movie, but it turns out that DaCosta’s Marvel debut wasn’t directed by Brie Larson. wondersbut Marvel worlds.
Worlds of Marvel is a themed dining experience aboard the new Disney Wish cruise ship that features various characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly as Ant-Man and the Wasp. It also gives us the return of Sam Wilson as the new Captain America. However, the production was an even more star-studded affair, as Nia DaCosta has accomplished. wonders with Brie Larson and Mrs. Wonder Iman Vellari for the first time in Worlds of Marvel before everyone filmed the captain wonder continuation.
I had the chance to be part of the disney wish Baptism cruise and although I wasn’t able to drink $ 5,000 cocktails, I was able to speak to Walt Disney Imagineering Senior Creative Director Danny Handke, who led the Worlds of Marvel project. He told me they had Nia DaCosta direct part of the dinner show, and that’s when two stars of wonders, and its director, worked together for the first time. Handke explained …
We asked Iman to shoot after Ms. Marvel ended and she was going to shoot The Marvels. It was great because on our set it was the first time Iman, Nia and Brie were on set together. It was for our production because Nia helped us shoot that scene with Iman and the sequences with Brie, so it was their first meeting in London before we started production on The Marvels.
Technically, the Marvel Universe in theme parks, or in this case cruise ships, isn’t actually the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s a different part of the Marvel Multiverse. However, wherever possible, the Walt Disney Imagineering team uses pieces from the MCU to tell their stories, both on and off the camera.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen great Marvel directors running themed entertainment projects. Guardians of the Galaxy are now part of a couple of theme park attractions, and franchise director James Gunn directed the filming of Guardians of the Galaxy: Epcot Cosmic Rewind and Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission Footage: From Disney California Adventure. Leak.
It’s nice to know that Nia DaCosta directed Brie Larson and Iman Vellari here. We haven’t seen anything wonders however, DaCosta just laughed at us wonders will be, so those lucky enough to visit Disney Wish in the next few months will basically get a taste of what’s to come based on how they were conducted here.
As someone who has experienced Worlds of Marvel on board, I can tell you that fans of Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel or just Marvel will really love what they see (and eat) on board.
