Last Wednesday (15th), the singers Milton Nascimento AND Esperanza Spalding released the single Octoberthe first song on the album they recorded together.
The track was originally released in 1968 on the album CourageMilton’s second album.
It is worth mentioning that in 2011 they shared the stage during a show at Rock in Rio.
In this new work the duo brings together five songs by the Brazilian artist, four compositions by Esperanza and a selection of revisitations. Songs by Michael Jackson, Wayne Shorter and the Beatles are expected, as well as special appearances by names such as Lianne La Havas, Tim Bernardes, Shabaka Hutchings and Maria Gadú.
The album Milton + Esperanza will be released on August 9, 2024.
