Elton John reveals why he hates being photographed

Elton John, one of the great names in the history of world music, has a controversial position on the matter Photography.

The legendary British pianist and singer, today with 77 years oldhas a huge appreciation for photos but he hates being photographed.

“I would never put my back against the wall (At home)No thank you”, said the owner of classics like Your song, candle in the wind AND Goodbye Yellow Brick Road THE BBC. “It’s amazing that I collect photographs because I don’t like being photographed. I find it very painful,” complements.

The new photographic exhibition, entitled Fragile Beauty: Photographs from the Sir Elton John and David Furnish Collection will take place at GO from this Saturday (18th) and will remain until the day January 5, 2025 in the British capital.

As for the photographic collection, Elton John explains: “A lot of them I didn’t see hung or hung properly. And then walking by them, they were hung so beautifully and with the different sections and colors of the walls. I couldn’t be happier.”

The exhibition will feature a wide range of photos, including historical moments such as the fight for civil rights, the AIDS crisis and the September 11 attacks.

“We live in a time where people seem to want to rewrite history and deny the truth. I think when things are captured photographically, it’s irrevocable. It really fixes them in time,” He said Davide Arredahusband of Elton John.
