The residents of Curitiba are about to experience a historic and unique night together Gilberto Gil. Baiano returns Curitibain the day November 9thwith the unprecedented tour”Gilberto Gil – Blue Love“, in which the audience will be able to follow and experience Gil in a way never seen before.
The show takes place on the stage of Positive theatre and tickets will be on sale, via Disk Ingressos, at from R$60. Clients Cult club will have exclusive presale from Saturday (18th), from 10am, until Tuesday (21st), at 9.59am. For the general public, sales start on Tuesday, at 10.00.
At 81 years old, Gilberto Gil He begins to prepare for the last performances of his career and, for this reason, he thought of something special for his fans who have followed him for generations. The show “Gilberto Gil – Blue Love“those arriving in Curitiba will be accompanied by an orchestra which will be conducted by Italian conductor Aldo Brizzi.
The orchestra has the artistic support of ALEGRO Musical Associationa music education institute in Curitiba whose activities focus mainly on children living in socially vulnerable situations.
The show is a work that deals with love between Hindu God Krishna and the Deadly Radha. will be presented 47 new songscomposed of Gil and by the conductor Italian Aldo Brizzi, which celebrate the persistence of love and the different expressions that derive from it. Alongside Gil on stage there will be around 160 musicians and artistsinterpreting the meeting of Brazilian and Indian rhythms with the lyricism of classical music.
The tour “Gilberto Gil – Blue Love” premiered in December 2023 in Paris. There were three sold-out performances, aired five times on French television and a standing ovation every evening. Audiences and critics called the opera a “triumph”, “an original creation” and ” a prodigious party”, being the culmination of a career as celebrated as Gil’s. In Brazil, the tour will visit some Brazilian cities and already has shows scheduled in Belém, Salvador and São Paulo, where he will perform in the iconic Sala São Paulo.
