Lisa Gomes, Nahim’s sister-in-law, reveals that coroners found a suspicious wound on the singer’s face
The death of singer Nahim, found lifeless in his home in the early hours of this Thursday (13/6), has had new developments. The initial examination found head trauma as the cause of death, but Lisa Gomes, the singer’s sister-in-law, said medical examiners found a suspicious lesion on the right side of his face. Andreia Andrade, Nahim’s ex-wife, was the last person to see him alive and has already given a statement to the police.
Death hypothesis
Investigators have not ruled out the possibility that a heart attack caused Nahim’s fall. Lisa Gomes believes in this hypothesis, but she also said that the singer had glaucoma and was not used to his new home. “He must have had a heart attack and fell. We talked to the medical examiner and the right side of his face had a wound,” Lisa said.
Nahim had glaucoma in both eyes and recently underwent eye surgery. According to Lisa, he wore sunglasses out of embarrassment over the spots caused by the disease. “He was very vain and he didn’t want anyone to know that he didn’t see anything,” explained the singer’s sister-in-law.
Last moments
Andreia Andrade and Nahim met on Wednesday evening (6/12), Valentine’s Day, and tried a reconciliation. Andreia left the house at around 12.40am and, at 3am, police received a call after men working on a pole spotted Nahim’s body. The former couple exchanged messages at 1am when Nahim reported problems with his internet signal. Andreia said goodnight and said she would talk later. Just over two hours later, she received the news of the singer’s death.
